Post by: arrowbar on July 25, 2011, 11:54:25 pm
New litter from Amira 8 pups at 7pm and they all looked pretty healthy, I had to go to work and we decided to let mamma bond with all those little rascals. I will post pictures later.

off colored as in red brindle? so far I have one red brindle, a few black brindles and what I call just plain brindle meaning a balance that is not dark or light brindle, did not do a sex count yet. Momma is eating like a starving cow so that is good.

okay so we had just 8 pups, that is actually my preferred number when it comes to pups as each seems to get more than enough milk and its easier to place fewer pups in the right homes. It looks like we have four or each sex.

so this gyp is an awesome tunneler , between this morning at six and when I got home at five she dug a tunnel under the box and put the pups in thier, I sent my son down thier and he checked the pups and all of them are there and healthy so pictures will be delayed. I think she did this because of the high humidity based heat we are experiencing but who really knows as momma knows best.

shipping is not a problem, call me and we can attempt to work something out, they are a lot cheaper than I paid for the parents as pups ;). My number is 5056970034 and I should be available after 4pm tomorrow. All my pups are raised in the dirt, and only pound tracks in the dirt and the rare snowstorm.

Hey all you guys and gals, Karla and I will be going to Stephen's place in NM when these pups are ready to get ours. I am sure we could get another back as far as Hondo if it will help anyone out .

They look good Stephen. I am partial to the redder ones myself. ;D

Thanks Bobby. I like them in any color as long as they are brindle or buckskin. They will all lighten or darken as they age to some degree. I have had black base coats with red stripes and black base coats with yellow stripes.

I have never used a catch dogs and they (the parents) will sink ivory to stop or turn them and bay tightly until I give the comand to move away so I can shoot. I have sent pups to hunters of all different types of game and the hog hunters have told me they range from tight bay to almost suicidal. I use them more so for cats but hogs have been my new game of choice and they range out about 600 and up and once they have a scent they will finish it or run it until they lose all scent
