Why start a dog there? Just start him in the woods behind an older dog. I prefer a dog to have enough instinct in the first place I dont need to start him in a pen. "practice like you play" I've started them in pens but it just does'nt suite me...seems like a cop out.

Ive trained most of mine in a pen if i had time to spare. Others, Ive thrown right in the mix with my finished dogs and they picked it up fine too. |
