Post by: 5150hogdogs on July 26, 2011, 01:56:46 pm So I had a Lacey dog that was the best I've every own and I bread him to this gyp a buddy had I bread him cause it took me a while to get a dog like this and his gyp was just as good I told him that I would keep her at my house cause I knew he didn't have time for them and I would pay the cost needless to say he never brought her over I get a text a lil while ago sayin that she had lost the pups due to the heat now this Lacey passed a few months back and I don't have any of his blood so I asked him why didn't you have a fan on them he said uhhhhh I didn't know you had to have a fan on them WTF are you kidding me man I swear some people just need to wise up some

Post by: charles on July 26, 2011, 02:10:21 pm i feel ya on that. last yr i lost 5 pups a wk old during my move from ne tx to central tx last yr during the summer. the nxt morning i was waiting in tsc's parkin lot for them to open to get a fan that would hold up outside. I had a fan on them the whole time for the wk they were born till i moved and it turned my stomach to loose them to this heat. sorry to hear about your loss on your male and the entire litter. I hope you find another dog that will be able to fill your old dogs shoes. its gonna be hard, buut good luck to you.

Well his female had 10 pups and the guy just let them bake in the heat. Only four out of ten survived. I did get a pup but I will never let him breed to anything I own ever again. I totally understand loosing pups because of something out of your control but to me that was just plain irresponsible. >:( Let me also add that he put them in a pen without ANY shade at all. No trees or tarps or nothing, in 100 degree weather.

Post by: TimmsHogDogs on July 26, 2011, 10:15:55 pm I lost two yesterday outta my catahoula walker crosses but it was actually the mommas fault, she had them under the house where it was cool and she for some reason started throwing them out it the yard, sounds funny I know but true, so Ive got 5 out of 9, one died after being born, it was really small, the other disappeared, I think it died the next day and the momma took it off, they are three weeks old, getting fat as could be and two had to over heat yesterday so I know what you mean it sucks

Post by: 5150hogdogs on July 27, 2011, 05:48:47 am I'm with the breeding in fall too but I needed my blood and the guy don't hunt the gyp any more but wait it gets better this shows how good the dog gods are I get home yesterday evening and my ab/masstiff didn't come out the her house this is odd cause Shes good at gruarding the motor on the boat well I look in the house and geuss what yup five very fine pups off my Lacey dog man I was so excited needless to say she is in the bathroom as I'm speakin these pups will be takein care of unlike that so called buddy I bread to

Post by: uglydog on July 27, 2011, 02:41:28 pm Not that it matters now, but in the future if you think your dog is good enough to breed, and the female is good enough to breed breed, maybe take the time to consider the owner of the other half is good enough to own the pups. If they are just ignorant maybe educate them if not, don't even deal with them. I won't breed our dogs to anybodys dogs, I won't sale or give a dog to anybody either, don't matter how much money they got.
Come Sept.1 you will have to be planning litters a little smarter to raise the dogs you will want to own because of the laws changing in the state of Texas, ignorance of the law is NO excuse. Post by: 5150hogdogs on July 28, 2011, 06:21:32 am Nahh I got him about two years ago from a guy out of mississippi near vancleave named Jason I asked him and he don't recall either I geuss it was a friend of a friend you know how that is but got a lil now so I'm happy these should be some decent dogs my ab mastiff is my best catchdog to date minus the ones I lost but she was deff planed to be bread just not so soon should be some ruff lil suckers but I have to wait and see but I'd like to get with you for and out cross pm some info on them thanks
uglydog you fo have a very good point he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed lolol and I'm out of south Louisiana so I can keep tryin I know a few guys from up there and they're not too happy about this law me presonally thinks it's bs for y'all cause it's your yard what does it matter to other people how many fogs you own if you care for them right they shouldn't be a problem |
