Post by: tnhillbilly on August 02, 2011, 05:45:46 am watch for salmonella infections now that the dog had it in his mouth How did you treat it ? Funny that you mention this, a new gyp i just got 14 months old had the symptoms, found a dead, half grown, been chewed on box turtle in front of her box. Shes slowly starting to recover now.Title: Re: bet yall never caught a ..... Post by: bird on August 02, 2011, 12:41:08 pm I was letting all my dogs run in the pasture after dinner one night. Next thing I know I could hear all my dogs, even the bulldogs, baying their hearts out at something in the neighbors front yard. I was worried they had gotten ahold of their little fluffy lap dog so I ran over to find a five foot gator hissing and chasing the dogs around. I started grabbing dogs and putting them back in the kennels. I have no idea where the gator came from since theres not water for miles around. Luckily no dogs tried catching cause it probably wouldnt have ended up the way they planned. :o

Post by: jimco on August 03, 2011, 07:13:09 am We have a 15 acre pond and our gyp was always obsessed with turtles. I finally got her to leave them alone after learning of the
salmonella. She also loves baying and catching alligators. (http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z349/eelcat1/Picture017.jpg) Title: Re: bet yall never caught a ..... I was grabbing dogs as fast as I could so they didn't come back missing body parts. I had a bad run in with a gator last deer season so I guess I'm a little more cautious now. The poor dog didn't make it... |
