Title: a surprise Post by: 3Whoghunter on August 08, 2011, 01:29:34 am Well I didn't think my female redbone was intrested in hogs she bout 5/6 months old only barked at a hog 3 times in a pen. Well tonight she earned her keep. I was laying in bed watching a car show when I heard her open up on the chain. I walk out to her and she is staring towards the tank bout 150 yards away from the house I turn her and 2 other dogs loose she heads straight to the tank with my male redbone behind her and my walker/cur also we get to the HOT wire fence. The 2 redbones and I go through it (Ouch) we get bout 20 yards away from the tank and I see a hog bout 100 pounds when that damn walker/cur starts barking at the fence cuz he scared to go under it. What does that do? You got it, he turned the 2 reds back to him. Tried getting him to the pig but when I got him through the fence and back to the tank the pig was gone ain't that a you know what. So I walked my happy ass back to the house. I'm kinda ticked off at him. Well anyway that female I guess going to make a dog after all she just gotta be the one to find it.

Title: Re: a surprise Post by: 3Whoghunter on August 08, 2011, 02:01:45 am Yea its pretty cool I built a lean to stand put a hanging feeder that has a plastic hag down bump stick the hogs emptied it out in one night they have trials under the fence in like 6 different places they always cross our place. Its mainly open a lil woods on a fence line. Only bad thang is its only 50 acres and tippie ranch surrounds our place and I can't hunt that place at all. So I can't run my dogs here to offten just traps and gun hunt
