I saved this from other posts on here so have not tried it because I do not have a flea/tick problem at this time. check below... buy you a bag of dry lime, and dust the ground with it. It will keep ticks aways for years some folks say Permethrin 10 works best for ticks. You can buy it at TSC and use a sprayer for around the yard. I would follow directions when spraying down the dogs but I would mix it double strength when spraying the kennels and surrounding area.
