So long as you use Bias ply tire, them Radial ones might interfere with your Garmin  :D Heck you could even make some from some mud grips for real " rough " dogs  ;)

It sounds pretty heavy and stiff and I'd be worried about rubbing sores on the dogs.  What kind of tire were you thinking of using?

I saw a guy that makes em out of mud flaps. Give it a shot. You'll never know if it works if  you don't try.

the mud flap material might work well... but you should put something between that and the dog's neck so that it doesn't rub the dog raw

A riding lawn mower tire with the side walls cut out, brass rivets, and a couple nylon collars, will work.  It doesn't rub the dogs neck.

My advice:  Save your money and buy a cut collar.  I have replaced most of my homemade cut gear in the last year.

i was raised by a ol coon hunter, we used fire hose for collars, vests, even chaps for our legs

i like the baler belt and leather ideas too

I picked some up at tractor supply and had no problems. Idk if I would go back to it now but it does work
