 ok there is the debate of above ground kennels and concrete kennels. there are pros n cons of each. i priced lumber for above ground kennels, and it was 1300 before wire and a roof. dont know how uch concrete would cost, probly not near that. well im fixn to try and get the best out of both types. im fixn to jig up and pour an above ground concrete kennel. i used to frame and pour mud and poured it on multiple floors before, so im gonna take what i used to do and put it to good use. whats yaws thought for an elevated concrete kennel set up?

It's not gonna be any different than concrete on the ground, except temp

Concrete I would think would be cold in the winter but then again wood would be also idk

concrete will be cold no matter if its above or on ground. the only way to prevent that is to put a floor heater in the mud. with wood the wind will blow through the cracks.

 I would think concrete up high will be colder. The cold air will be able to go above and below. But we live in Texas and we dont have to worry much about cold temps. If you want concrete put them on the ground if you want wood then build them up off the ground. I think both is pissing the wind. Mud is around 67-74 a yard. You could just box in under it and add a heater for winter. Plus it would be easy to add a drain.

 thats what i was thinking dub. only need a 2-3" slab at most. i gotta get something done soon im gonna hav a litter in a couple mths if my gyp takes. i think im gonna try the above grounnd slab, even if i am pissing in the wind, but its my money and i think it will work out as good as ground mud or above wood. i think it will hav the best of both
