Well there's asswholes in every sport. That give the rest a bad name.

But I wouldn't mind gettin 3-4 toothy 200lb runners and turning them loose in the front door of his hunting supply.

He gave you a pretty fair respons at the end, tell him thanks for being understanding. You handled yourself well too. I used to think I spent alot on deer hunting, but now, well I guess I could just smile and nod at a statement like his. No use turning someone who's ignorant into indignant.

I will probably be banned from ETHD for ever for this response but here goes...

At heart I am a deer hunter.  To me there is nothing as relaxing as sitting in a deer stand just watching nature move.  i run dogs because its the bigges adrenaline rush in the world.  Well that and i like dogs.  I have a high dollar hunting lease in GA, ther are thirty members and my portion is 1800 and change.  So on one hand i sort of agree with the mentality, however being that i do both sports i know trined hog dogs dont screw with deer.  And if they do, and do it enough the owner will pony up the 15 cent bullet for you.

I guess all im sayin is i see his point of view, however ignorant it may be.

Anyone who kills 20 dogs a year and hasn't had his ass whipped is surrounded by cowards IMO, you gotta be trying to kill dogs for sport to get 20 in a year if he isn't full of it. I keep 2 grown dogs here and if some one kills either of them for just running across there lease then I'm bound for the county jail or hospital one once I catch the trigger man. I don't run my dogs during deer season hardly ever anyway so it's not a issue for me  ;)

That guy is gonna be lucky if someone doesnt hunt him themselves. You'd think after he killed just one he would had someone else sending him to the hospital. That got my blood steaming!!!!

  Don't worry most deer hunters around me don't even like other deer hunters.

 whether they like other deer hunters or not. you dont go around bragging or threating to kill some1s dog/s bc they cant read posted signs. if my dogs go over onto private then going by the law and askn the owner or getn the warden or a deputy to escourt me in to get my dogs is what i will do. to htreaten my dogs, is like threatn me or my family, and they better have a grave plot picked out. aint gonna be but 1 side of the story and that will mine.

The deer hunter did says he has never shot a dog with a collar on and that they would have to be doing something "strange" for him to shoot. I'm not seeing a problem here,also it says it was the lease owners son that said he had shot 20 dogs on his property(i would say he is full of crap myself)and that he is not a deer hunter,just photographs them so in both cases neither is a DEER HUNTER that loves to blow dogs away,By the way i do not hunt deer and only run dogs on hogs so not taking deer hunters side just dont think its worth getting riled up over stupid things people say,keep your dogs safe!

Thats kinda the way I took it. He was trting to impress his fellow deer hunters, til he found out there was a dogger on the board, then started back peddling.
   It could have got pretty nasty, but i think it was handled rather well.

thats why i deer hunt bc of d bags like him i try to kill as many of them  deer as i can ill bet he wont come to cajun land and shoot a mans dogs he will become crab bait WHAT A STUPID BASTERD

I do not hunt dogs during deer season but some of these people are out of control. They will kill a dog just to have something to brag about. I had 2 killed last month in Woodville Ms. The person that killed my dogs put my collars and vest in a box and dropped it off by my mother in laws mail box with a note in there telling me to warn other hunters that there dogs will be shot if they set foot on there land.The person that did this was lucky that I have not cought up to him or them yet. They dropped the box off while I was walking through the woods looking for my dogs.I was doing my best to keep the dogs off there land but they got over 900 yards and the garmin dropped them.

Now this, is a whole nother matter. Thats just about as low down as it gets. Got to be some way to prosecute. But I must ask, have you ever bumped heads with this land owner before? The reason I ask, is he obviously knew who you were, and you should know who did this by the last location of your dogs. Just wondering if you called the authorities ?

I have never butted heads with anybody.I do not know where it was done or who did it. They have to know me in order for them to bring my stuff back. But I do not know where it happend at as I did not hear any shots.There are a lot of land owners that know I hunt the area a few times a year and they do not care if I hunt there land as long as its not during deer season.
