I have thought of doing the same thing but i was worried about the smell over time of pee going through the cracks. have you noticed anything like that? or someone else that has that type setup?

Title: Re: New kennels Post by: tnhillbilly on September 09, 2011, 10:15:17 pm Ive been needing some kennels, and want to build some very similar, but stopped at tsc today and priced them, and at $550 per kennel, guess ill have to find another way, unless I can find them cheaper.
Title: Re: New kennels Post by: Striker55 on September 09, 2011, 10:38:17 pm I got those at 330 and third one was cheaper due to u just need to buy the door and one panel.

Title: Re: New kennels Post by: hogaholicswife on September 10, 2011, 09:45:05 am Those are definately some nice pens, we got away from wood floors a while back but I have always wondered if you sealed would it help in washing them out?
Title: Re: New kennels Post by: Striker55 on September 10, 2011, 11:51:09 am I think so I was going to seal them this weekend.

Title: Re: New kennels Post by: Rodeo on September 10, 2011, 09:52:45 pm How do you clean your pens since they are up on a platform. And those are some good-looking pens
Title: Re: New kennels Post by: Striker55 on September 10, 2011, 10:51:34 pm With a float shovel it works great .
Title: Re: New kennels Post by: brandeek1 on September 11, 2011, 01:06:24 am We have 12 kennels (5x10) that we built out of galvanized pipe n we put 4x4 wire panels on them front n back. Chain link in Middles. We put dog houses outside kennels n attached them so dogs have full use of kennel. Gates have latches we can lock n roof is tin. We installed a misting system this year because of the heat. It's on a timer. Ours r on river sand/pea gravel mix. Great. No smell. Use horse rake for poop. I'll take pics tomorrow n post them.
