How in the heck do you get tattered ears to finally heal?

Thats kind of like the tail thing. I am having both problems right now. If you figure it out I would be interested in knowing how.

If you got Flys or Fleas it is extremely hard because the dog is always scratchin or shakin the head. try to rub some Fly Spray on the top of dogs head first, if that is the case

If not get some of the stuff at walmart pharmacy called new skin liquid bandage, squirt some Pen-Aqueous on it let that dry without letting the shake or scratch it off then apply coat the New Skin over the top, let it dry before turning dog loose, may go back and put another coat on later,

Thanks ugly dog. Why didn't I think of that? It makes good sense.

Super glue is an excellent way to speed up healing, the dogs cant get it off,the flys cannot bite through it and the bood wont flow out of it.If you are trying to bring two pieces of ear toghether then dont use it,but if you have small tears that keep bleeding when the dog shakes then it will work wonders,i always keep super glue in the cut kit.Got that from an old dog man.

i packed Vaseline around a buddies dogs ear nick after i smothered it in blood stopper. That worked. Also there is some good stuff at our local feed store called SWAT. It is a fly cream that will keep the bugs off, its a little easier than fly spray...its good stuff.

i coudnt get my dogs ears to stop bleeding, so i put some wonder dust that i use on my horses and it stoppped it immediatly and have not had a problem since. this is also a good product to carry in your cut kit to stop any bleeding as long as you are noy gonna stitch him up.
