well guys last night roy the boy(turbo jets dad), thunder down under (troy t), country boy, and turbo jet went on another quick and succesful hunt. last night when we left out the wind was calm, but it was dark no moon yet. we pulled into a 1500 acre spot that is known for some monster pigs. this is one of the places that we hardly ever go to with out catching atleast 1 or 2 good pigs. after we got the dogs on the hood we noticed the wind pick up pretty good and we started debating on whether or not to still try our luck. f**k it we said lets try it out unless the wind gets worse. well i am glad we did cause after about 15 minutes of hood riding we got on one. we got on to one pretty good size lonsome boar. as we aproachede the bay we could smell that it was a boar and boy did he stink. anyways this boar had wedged himself into a brush pile and was not coming out to easy. so once i got ahold of this pig troy pulled his dogs and took them to the truck when he started to leave i finally got this pig pulled out and flipped over. once we got the pig loaded into troy's trailer we went on about our hunt for about another thirty minutes until the wind was just unbearable to where we probably couldnt hear our dogs if they did bay one up. the dogs on the hood were bondie, aussie (troy t's dogs) and annie (my dog). turbo jet and country boy had no idea what was going on and were trying to help but neither of them have been too many times at night and wasnt expecting this.


now here is the not so good idea of mine that turned out pretty good for the situation i was in. i brought troy's trailer home with me to do some modifications to it, and decided to put this boar in the bay pen so i could get in the trailer and do some measuring (bad idea). well me and my son turbo jet backed the trailer up to the pen and got the pen secure- we thought! then here comes the disaster as my 7 yr old son got into the truck to pull it up so i could close the bay pen gate that boar run into the other side of the panel and nocked over the panel, nocked me down and th pig ran right over the top of me. i hurried to get up and as i did that crazy as$ pig turned around and with in inches almost got me with his cutters. i had jumped onto the trailer just in time! well the pig headed out across my pasture towards the neighbors as my annie and pup hanna caught wind and site of him. then they took off good yes but then again no these dogs were just out of there kennel to be pet by my kids so they had no cutt gear on and i dont own a mature catch dog yet. so sh$t here i go with a set of hobbles, lead and a ceel phone wondering what the heck i am going to do next. well i called my bud that has a catch dog and no answer while i was sprinting across a few hundred acres to the bay. when i got ther my two had the pig stopped and bayed but of coarse they are good bay dogs and not catch dogs. these dogs are good help dogs after the catch dog has caught but not by themselves. anayways when i got there i was going to try and grab a leg ( another bad idea) this pig chased me about 15 feet to a tree that i prayed would hold my fat as$. this tree was about 7 foot tall with no branches and about as thick as a 2 3/8 piece of pipe ( i wiegh 190 lbs) so yes luck i had for that moment. the pig finally broke and run over annie without cutting her up and thank fully i caught my dogs at the next fence and got them home safely. so lol because my son and all the guys i hunt with have and still are.

forgot to post the weight the pig weighed 200 to 230 lbs but felt alot bigger when it ran over the top of me. lol

lol well i guess i shouldn't of left this morning and i could of tried to help but then again that boar was big and mean so ya but that was fun last night.

i thought you would off at least tackeld that hog,lol :laugh:
