Title: Re: Trashing Post by: OCD on September 23, 2011, 09:40:52 pm in my opinion barking at anything other than a hog. jmo X2 as long as they dont bark at it i am good Title: Re: Trashing Post by: brandeek1 on September 23, 2011, 09:53:31 pm I have to agree. As long as they don't bark it. No cows or deer at all ever but coons n dillos o well. Possum too. Lil varmints have a way of being n wrong place at wrong time. No barking though so we don't have a problem with it.
Title: Re: Trashing Post by: dub on September 23, 2011, 10:50:30 pm Or chasing it. I don't want the dog wasting my time. I guess if they kill the skunk quick that don't count right? I have seen some real good skunk dogs. I will not talk smack or mine will get them too.

I would also like to point out that our best dog, that is everything I want in a hog dog and produces hogs regular....is a skunk trashing son of a gun. ;D Wouldn't trade him for nothin though. Title: Re: Trashing Post by: brandeek1 on September 28, 2011, 01:18:27 pm Ours will kill varmints while hunting (mostly our catch dogs do it when they r out front of bikes waiting on bay). Think it's the anticipation. We rarely see them do it. We eventually come up on dead critters in the road. As long as they don't bark at it or carry on tok long we don't care. They do not mess with cows or deer at all for any reason. We have rode up on them staring into the grass at a baby fawn on more than 1 occasion. They went on n left fawn alone.
