Title: Re: hounds Post by: Cutter Bay Kennels on September 28, 2011, 08:17:37 pm As with any breed, it all depends on the specific dog. Plenty of hogs die every year because of hounds.

Title: Re: hounds Post by: arrowbar on September 28, 2011, 11:29:28 pm a better question would be what line of redbones or _____________ steadily produces hog dogs and how do these lines hunt as it can vary greatly from one line to another.
Title: Re: hounds Post by: bo-hog99 on September 29, 2011, 07:49:54 am Id say a walker hound of todays breeding would make good hog dogs. I no some coon hunters that have them an they are almost silent on the ground. But can flat out push a coon track. Now the bluetickers are the one's that like to site on a tailgate and listen to a pretty bawl mouth dog boot around on a track all night. Ive never owned a plott are redbone but people seem to like them on hogs.
Title: Re: hounds Post by: wranglercurs on September 29, 2011, 08:43:43 am I think you'll fine slow and fast track dogs in every breed. Do some home work on bloodlines and I'd bet you can find a hound that would suit you.
