Title: A Tragedy Post by: TinyTexasCowgirl on October 02, 2011, 08:08:54 pm Mrs. Allison's 5th grade class were discussing words and their meanings when Obama decides to stop in and watch the class.
Obama walks to the head of the class and asks the class "Who can tell me what a tragedy is?" Little Suzie stands up and says, "If my friend and I are riding bikes and she gets hit by a car, that would be a tragedy." Obama looks at her and says "No, that would be a great loss." Little Jenny stands up and says "If a man is driving a bus full of young children, and he drives off the side of cliff, that would be a tragedy." Obama says to her, "No, that would be an accident." Little Johnny stands up next. "If you and the first lady are on air force one and a fighter jet shoots a missle at Air force one and kills everyone on board, that would be a tragedy." Obama, obviously delighted praises him, and asks him, "How did you know that would be a tragedy?" Little Johnny looks at him and says, "Well, it dern sure wouldn't be a great loss, and you can bet your black a** it wouldn't be an accident."
