Title: Dogs and deer Post by: dub on October 03, 2011, 06:22:50 am I know there are many problems with deer hunters. I was deer hunting this weekend. I special female knew I was hunting and turned her dogs any way. I waited as the deer went by until the big boy came out. The dogs started barking off in the woods so it was a perfect time to draw to cover the sound. I was waiting for my shot and the dogs started fighting or something because they made I loud noise and the buck looked that way. I took my shot and the fancy drop away rest did not drop away. Thanks to the dogs the buck never noticed the arrow go by ;D I will take my bow by the shop to get the rest fixed. I will be sure to make sure that woman sees me going in to hunt so she lets the dogs out again! ;D

Title: Re: Dogs and deer Post by: dub on October 03, 2011, 11:16:13 am I think it funny when people say dogs run the deer off. The deer were not worried about the dogs just kept looking the way of the sounds. It worked out great for me. I wish my $100 arrow rest would have worked rolleyes But thanks to the dogs the deer had no idea what happened. He is a good size buck too. I have never put a deer on my hood but I may just to drive by the "nice lady." I did not shoot her dogs or call the law. I think intentionally interfering with a hunt is against the law. I will go by the bow shop and get that buck tonight ;D
