Title: Tuesday night boar
Post by: mporter on November 18, 2011, 03:54:43 pm
My buddy Scott and brother in law Richard turned out on a new place Tuesday night... Turned out to be a good spot. We had this guy bayed twenty minutes after turning loose... Only problem was the dogs decided to bay him on the wrong side of the river... Took us two and a half hours to get him out there! If we hadn't promised the ranch foreman we would bring him anything we caught, he would still be where we found him... Lol

On our way to the new place about 2 miles from the ranch head quarters on a county road, we saw a boar that would go over three hundred easy... Took everything we had to keep the dogs in the box! On the way out close to the same spot a group of twenty or more hogs crossed in front of us.. four of which will easily go over 200... Needless to say we now have permission on another new spot!! Hope to have some new stories soon...

Michael,

Did you end up keeping any pups out of that litter that I got that female from? I know they are now 6 months old and I was wondering if you have had any feedback? As for my little gyp, she has gone out riding in the box twice, but that is it.
