I have this half plott half bmc I'm wanting to sell. He is 15 months old and well started and doing good. He needs to be run with some good dogs and finished out. He's silent till he sees a hog. Will run good with other dogs but doesn't hunt real good by himself yet. Honors a bay, loads good, no tempermant problems at all. Sounds like a hound when baying. I've got four Weathorford BMC pups coming soon that I'm going to run this winter. I would keep him but I just want a pack of BMC's. $350 I live just north of you in Calera and if you're interested you can see him hunt next time we go.

It depends on the dogs he runs with. I usually do put one on him but that day I let my buddy put them on his better strike dogs cause it was a real windy day and I knew he would be with his dogs at the bay and was. If they cant stop the hog there's a chance he'll be the last one back. Tends to have alot of bottom at times. That pic is the first time I've ever seen him put some teeth on a hog. He ususlly backs off and bays. If you have a good strike dog to run him with he will probably fit your needs. He's constantly showing improvement. I honestly believe he'll make a strike dog but don't think his switch has flipped yet. He has found a couple hogs. In fact the very first time I took him hunting. But he may have just stumbled across them. He seem like he's got alot of pup in him still. Since you are so close we should hunt a some and you can decide for yourself if he will fit you needs if interested. If you or your buddys have some good dogs give me a hollar and I will come hunt him with you.
