Just got a new 40 collar do you register each collar?  If so how

i got 3 in the mail today i havent had time to add them, from what i understand you just add them like the dc 30 collars.

if im wrong some one please let me know.

This is the first additional collar I have, so I dont no haw to add them, how did you add the 30s

on the astro 220 you can go thru your menu and select add a collar, you will need to touch the handheld and the collar, you will have to be outside and wait till the hand held and collar have picked up gps

Go to dog list that has the compass hit menu scroll to dog list scroll down to add new then enter

I guess my question was not clear, register with garmin, not the receiver?

I didn't just added them to the receiver and went hunting they work fine

yeah each collar has a serial# that you can register with gamin you dont have to if you do not want to but to answer your question yes each collar can be registered.

I would register it with garmin on their web page. I lost a DC 40 and somebody found it and sent to garmin for repair. I was contacted by e-mail about repairs to this collar. I responded to them letting them know that I did not know for sure if the collar was lost or stolen. A new collar arrived at my house in a few days. There was no info. about what was wrong with it or who sent it in. I did not expect them to do this but I was happy.
