Title: Eagles Post by: hogaholicswife on January 29, 2012, 09:31:14 am I figured you all would like to see a family of Eagles that are in the field this morning (the young ones are not in the picture).
We kept seeing a huge brown bird that was mottled, he wad too big to be a hawk but then we seen its sibling who's head was turning white. They are super leery of the truck but they are beautiful! Title: Re: Eagles Post by: hogaholicswife on January 29, 2012, 10:45:12 am Most of them are buzzards, the babies were off by themselves for the longest time but I have never seen more than two at a time until now.

Title: Re: Eagles Post by: BA-IV on January 29, 2012, 11:36:37 am Funny you posted that. I saw two bald eagles the other day around Reserve, LA while I was on a train. I've never seen them that close before, but the buzzards were right beside them and seemed to be interacting with them. One was a true bald eagle and the other was mottled and had a browner head, seemed like a mating pair to me.

Title: Re: Eagles Post by: djhogdogger on January 29, 2012, 11:49:15 am Cool pics. We see one flying over us every once in a blue moon where we hunt, but never seen one on the ground. Much less two or three! Thanks for sharing. :)
