Nice job.
But what exactly is snaring?

Well, snaring is taking stainless steel cable and putting a cam lock on the end and making a loop and attaching it to a tree to where the loop is upright so when a hog is traveling it will loop around its head, body or hips and lock in place so it cant escape. Sometimes coyotes run hogs through my snare traps and end up getting caught themselves.

Where I set my snares there is no homes, unless the dog swims across the gulf they can;t get caught.
No livestock, just coyotes and hogs and raccoons!

okay was wondering, never been a fan a snares but i am not a fan of coyotes neither and looks like getting a few thinned out. Are you using the Jagds to run the trap lines?

no i bait a spot an as soon as the hogs start hitting the baits hard i set snares on the trailes where the hogs are come to the baits but the coyotes been  bad the last 2 hogs have been eaten by them so i left on dead pig an set more snares to catch them looks it worked

No just check them every 12 hours an set trail cams to tell u when u will caught the hog that's passing though the trail. It works like a charm an a little tip boil the snares an water about 5 to 15 mins to kill any scents on the snares then don't step an the hog trails
