Title: Started Plott cross pups Post by: westexasboys on March 26, 2009, 12:05:55 pm 3/4 Plott hound 1/4 Pit Bulldog, 1 male and 1 female,they have second shots have 4 left but are keepin 2 and sellin 2, been to the bay pen twice a week for 3 or 4 weeks. Not afraid to put teeth in a hog. They will be right at 5 months old on April 2.

All four will put teeth in a hog and are already pretty well mannered. Im in Tahoka about 25 min south of Lubbock, TX.

I was wondering how they did when you took them out to run down that lil piggy you mentioned you were gonna let run out ahead of them... Did they pick-up the trail? Did they open up on the trail?

Title: Re: Started Plott cross pups Post by: westexasboys on April 05, 2009, 10:47:14 pm Sorry I havent been on here, Ive been out of town, but a few of you were wondering if these pups were going to be silent or not and it looks like they are silent on track, one of there litter mates is already runnin with older dogs and he is silent and when they got to him the pup was helpin hold the hog.
And today TJR89 came to pick one the pups up and we let out a lil 40 pounder or so and gave it about a 50 yard start and three of these pups chased it down stopped it and had it bayed, but didnt start barkin till they stopped him, one of them grapped an ear and the pig ended up gettin loose from them and runnin but they stayed on it.
