Title: Puppy umbilical hernias Post by: KevinN on February 09, 2012, 04:54:24 pm What have been ya'lls experiences with this. I've heard some can go away by six months and others need surgery or it can cause intestinal blockage.

Title: Re: Puppy umbilical hernias Post by: halfbreed on February 09, 2012, 06:58:05 pm yeah kevin some of my pups had em and they went away when the bellie muscles tightened up . i ask the vet about fixin em and they said just wait most go away . u can gently work em back in . but after they eat they pop back out . not a major worrie till at least 5 or 6 months old . i'll call you friday afternoon when i get my phone back .
