You bring her over and breed her to Cotton.

We will wait untill Thomas is at Work...lol.

seriously Cotton is getting OLD and Thomas got a replacement pup so he can go into semi retirement

I will put their noses against most of my cur dogs but hands down disposition is unbeatable

Just to clarify for yall that have pm'd me...

Shine is out of rough stock, she started out rough but finished out to be a rough stopping, loose baying(on good hogs), stick with them type of dog... too much bottom for me sometimes... but the bitch consistently produced trophy hogs BY HERSELF.

Bred her to a super short range, no bottom wind dog... gritty, but not catchy... again, a dog that by hisself, consistently produced trophy hogs.

... the 4 dogs still alive out of that cross are turning out to be equally intense, but less gritty than Shiner...  but ALL equally(if not more) "bottom endowed".... Shine apparently throws her bottom strong...

.... this breeding was an attempt to knock some "suicidal" head-catch out of the line... and it damn sure worked...

....AS A RESULT... my dogs are still catching hogs, STILL getting banged up... loose or not... when your dogs are good enough to bay up bad hogs consistently... you gonna have casualties... as a good friend said to me... "if you catchin' good hogs, dogs are gonna get hurt".

This, I have learned, is a fact.... Rough or loose... it don't matter.

SO.

If it is what it is, by God, I'd rather get it done now than later...  close to me rather than miles away from me...

I want a GRITTY stud.   I want a dog that by himself will beat brush and bay trophy hogs up, over and over and over and over again.

Thank you for your time.

You better look somewhere other than Florida if your wanting a dog that consistently bays TROPHY hogs...  rolleyes  :P

I guess im not completely understanding how a dog consistently bays Trophy hogs.. The dog is gonna bay whatever sized hog it finds...
If it takes the track of a big hog, it bays a big hog.. same with the smaller ones...

Wilbanks, from what I've seen even in my own dogs... there's a difference in a solo dog that produces average hogs and one that produces GOOD hogs... some dogs just never reach that level, even though they pile up plenty of hogs... some are just better at producing trophies if you know what I mean.

What you got Tony?  I imagine everything you have access to has waaaaay more bottom that what I'm into  ;D

Ryan, that is a good lookin' dog... if he had the chance to get on another thousand hogs we might know if he was a breeder!

I'm defenitely looking for an older stud dog, one that has stood the test of time and isn't just a young dog on a hot streak... plenty of those around that can change alot as they mature...

Noah seems like you might have to travel and hunt with potential prospects and see first hand what you would be getting yourself into.
