In South Louisiana they will be plenty of these in them holes. You stick your hand in his mouth and it's bye bye hand.

Ive always wanted to try it. Maybe one of these days one of you Okies would be willing to show this poor sheltered Texan how to noodle cats.

Well I've never been too found on the idea...I don't know why back in my wild days I stuck my hand in some questionable holes...why not now? may give it a shot this summer.

Best fishing sport around love it have been doing it for 20 yrs. we noodle every year , its a blast , we have brought home over 300lbs in one trip before , its a three fish limit per person in okla.

also took a blind man from calafornia last year a very awesome trip , this pic is of the fish blowing up on him and knocking his glasses off , we lead him to the hole and blocked it and poked the fish with a stick until he was fired up and then let him try to get it   50 plus pounder

july & aug is the time of the year to be noodling , the fish arnt in the holes yet , the blues move in first and then the flat heads

THOUGHT IT LOOKED FAMILIAR. WE FISH EARBOB / BIG HALLOW EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT SPRING AN SUMMER

I have been wanting to try it so bad. I just need someone who knows what they are doing to show me what to do and what to look for and what not to look for. We need the OK folks to put on  a noodling class so us TX rednecks can figure out a way to make it even more redneck.

We used to go all of the time until it got so dry and the rivers dried up. Hopefully we'll get some rain this year and get the big ones to come up river. My biggest to date is 47 pound flathead. Ya'll need to find a big bluecat on a nest of eggs for your first time. It will break you in right.  ;D

ed , I just live up the river , Ive got some land up around mazie landing , we are on the river all spring and summer , Im sure youve seen my boat or vise ver sa , need to meet up some time , hunt or fish

Is a flathead a mud cat or what? They kinda look like mud cats.

Here in arkansas we don't consider them to be. Mudcats are a trash fish here, also referred to as a polywog. Flatheads are flatheads.

Every summer that's where im at. A big blue will dang sure start you right ;)  and around here we call em yella cat but flat heads i've heard before but mud cats are trash fish that dont get bigger than like 2 pounds. Anyone around abilene area wanna go sometime my fishing buddy left moved so I aint  got no one to go with

My opinion a flat head is a flat head an mud cat taste like mud
