Title: Re: trailer build. pics that dub wanted recorded Post by: charles on March 28, 2012, 08:53:12 pm nope. if i woulda built it for that purpose, i woulda built is 6-7 ft wide, not 5ft wide and reenforced the dog box so it wouldnt wrinkle the skin or made it a 6 hole box. several members said to try n load it on the box and since it is a 5x4, and the wheeler longer than 4ft, that only left 1 way to load it. im not a design guroo, but im not an idiot either, contrary to what some may think.

Title: Re: trailer build. pics that dub wanted recorded Post by: younghogdogger. on March 28, 2012, 09:02:06 pm Good lookin trailer but I dont think thats gonna work! ;) But if u get it to work all power to you I would definetly be scared
Title: Re: trailer build. pics that dub wanted recorded Post by: charles on March 28, 2012, 09:04:21 pm yea im sure its not gonna work either, thats why there is a big open floor behind the boxes. if i was a smart man, i would put the wheeler there since it doesnt fit up top, but who am i to judge?
Title: Re: trailer build. pics that dub wanted recorded Post by: Jonathan Barth on March 28, 2012, 09:14:51 pm Good looking setup man. I`ll bet that`ll pull like there`s nothing there and probably wont affect your mileage a bit.

I`ll bet that`ll pull like there`s nothing there and probably wont affect your mileage a bit. thanks for the compliment. i pulled it yesterday and with it being a blunt face drag on the box, it did effect milage a little bit. with the wheeler loaded, i cant tell much differance in center of balance and i need to pull a spring out. they are 3500lb springs and the whole thing probably dont weigh more than 800lbs so it rides a little rough. i hooked it behind my wheeler and i cant really tell its back there, let along pulling it behind my diesel. That does not looked wrecked at all and I don't see you injured. rolleyes Clearly you did not understand the instructions ;D Other people had the idea of putting it up there and even if it did fit it would be top heavy. I just wanted a simple nice video of you crashing. Is that too much to ask for? rolleyes
The trailer looks good. I just wanted a simple nice video of you crashing. Is that too much to ask for? rolleyes she had more important things to do. like go watch some1 jump out of a perfectly good aircraft. even though the box is a tailgate thickness less than the highth of loading into my tck, it felt more steep than my tck. i wouldnt have wrecked it. i put it in low range, locked it into 4x4 and turned dif lock on and went slow since there wasnt any1 around to call 911 just incase. The trailer looks good. Title: Re: trailer build. pics that dub wanted recorded Post by: dub on March 29, 2012, 08:47:43 am Wimp ;D Where is your sense of adventure? rolleyes
Title: Re: trailer build. pics that dub wanted recorded Post by: charles on March 29, 2012, 08:54:16 am Iv seen the ER, nothn new and definately not an adventure. Though i have not riden in a wheeled ambulance, i have the unpleasent experience in a medivac helicopter. Cant say it was enjoyable, but deffinately a different experience laying flat, restrained and almost puking from the pilots yanking on the sticks in the cockpit
