Title: Question about genetics?
Post by: adamp on April 02, 2012, 02:56:02 pm
Well A buddy called and said I can have a couple cat/Bmc young dogs that are from my male dog. All are big males except for one gyp that is the runt and she is SMALL(16in the litter). I have enough prospects as is so I turned him down. We got to talking breeding and i looked at her...she has the blood and will spit in a hogs face all day long. My question is both parent were big and so are her siblings 60lbs+-, will she throw the same size in the genetics as her siblings. I know a male jag I can stud too for a small fee and have always wanted to try some crosses with a little more size....not that jagds need it ;D.

she's the right size for the breeding but I want to get some leg back. Anyone tried seething like this?

Generally speaking they will go back to the average size of that line. If you go with the jagt that si out the window.

You don't think they will come out with anymore size then a jagd? Might he a no go then. Not looking for much just a little more muscle and leg behind the prey drive
