Title: hunting buddys
Post by: drew on April 03, 2012, 11:14:51 am
I thought it would be funny to hear some of the things your buddys always complain about or cry over
when hunting no names
we dont need anybody getting mad
one of the guys i hunt with thanks he is whisperer but he is far from it
he always complains about everybody elses dog
if something goes wrong it wasnt his dogs fault but most times it is
but besides thats he is a good guy just a old women

I knew a good guy that passed away from an accident...but his dog always struck first or bayed first...most of the time it was someone elses dog that really struck and bayed first... :)

I'll tattle on myself, I don't like jumping into the water all gung Ho any more. Ive got a couple dogs who will try to push a bay towards me. Also they know how to get back and away from the tusks. Because of this, I can be more deliberate about how and where I go to them. I've seen too many times where I swim to dogs only to find out if I'd have been more patient and calm, I could have avoided swimming and maybe just waded.

Hunted with a guy the other day and he claimed first strike when it was my dog. Then he has his dogs in the traier and my dogs strike agian and he said my dogs were on cows. I cannot print what I said but assured him they were not on cows. Then he heard the hog squealing and we go to them. There are 4 hogs and some shoats and my half bulldog catches. The hogs lite out and my female goes with them. I am standing under a high line tracking my dog and he says that my Wildlife will not work under a high line. I tell him to suit yourself but I am going to my dog. She had another hog bayed and the half bulldog caught it.

Not only that but you should have seen him tie a hog. Giant production instead of using loops.

I did not hunt with them the next day but they went to a good place and caught zip, nada, zero, hogs.

Ha I love it I think I have heard and used all the above. My buddy would turn his blood dog loose and he would go strait to the dead deer. Hunter would ask what's going on ? He would say oh he is jacking around . Don't know if he is going to find this one. After his dog had ate all the guts up he would say well let's walk down here a bit. He would go to his dog and the hunters would be so happy they would not mention hind quarters missing.

Couple guys I hunt with always over estimate the size of the hogs we catch. Everyone is hogzilla. I hardly ever weigh A hog and couldn't say for sure I've ever caught one over 300 but everyone they catch with or without me is 350 to 500. I just ignore it cause it's funny.

another good one...i get told about how good "ole radar" and and "old belle" are,and it seems to me that they are good as long as that 1/2 plott is striking and leading the pack around...and I wonder how good they would be if the Plott stayed at home...  :-\ ;D
