Title: Winches? Post by: Bar W on April 03, 2012, 11:01:45 pm Looking for a winch to put on a jeep. What brand have used and how reliable was it? What size have u used on a jeep? Leaning toward an 8k.

Title: Re: Winches? Post by: Dhughes on April 04, 2012, 10:18:41 am 8,000 should be enough for a stock jeep. You can get a snatchblock so you can double the power of the winch if need be. Warn is the best brand. If you aren't gonna use it much a smittybilt would probably do the job and they're half the price. Warn did just come out with a new line of affordable winches, but I haven't seen much of them yet.
