Another story that just made me smile.  Nice to see the "little guys" get lucky.  And, the Maryland winners were 3 school teachers.  More "little guys".

It said they met with financial advisors about investing it.  Hopefully, they met with tax planners too.  There are ways to avoid some of the transfer taxes that inevitably will apply, especially to their children.

Thats got to be a incredible feeling, I can't imagine what it would be like to even be in the same room with someone who had won that much money.

my parents won a $50k on a scratch off and the people thought it was a fake, taxes taken out sucked and waited for a month for the check to come in

the closest i came to winning... my co worker and friend, in the office next to mine won 4,000,000 after having to split
60,000,000 with 13 others...there for a little bit he though he was the only winner of the biggest lotto back in 1993... ;D
