Title: Icing on the cake. Three strikes your out l. I can't get cut by a hog again. Post by: Kid7 on April 29, 2012, 12:21:44 pm Ok here's the story from the beginning. I had a rodeo yesterday and was supposed to hav one today. Well after yesterday's one of my good friends asked if he can come home with me and go huntin. We load up, and go to a new spot on the cowhouse creek. Get there and dumped the dogs and in 10 minutes we had a lil squealer caught. I didn't see any tracks, any sign of a hog anywhere the rest of the evenin on that place. The landowner told us to go across the road he said there are a few tanks and thick brush and mayb we will get somethin there. I go to all the tanks and walk around them, no fresh wallows, and again no sign. It's pretty late so im about ready to go. But my friend talked me into free casting my bmc Lil Bit and a pup from the tank dam one time before we leave. Lil bit and my pup take off 600 yds and the pup comes back. Lil bit is on her way back at about 300 and I hear her locate then hammer down. So I dump the other two yellas and grab my bulldog daisy and take a 300 yd hike. Get 50 yds, then send daisy. Hear the hog start growling. Caught hog! Perfect mayb the night will be a good one yet. They had a decent 190 pound boar caught in a little thick patch. He had some good ivory to. I reach down off balance and grab a leg. The hog spins his but around and takes my arm with him. I crash face first into the thick stuff and wen I stood up he just knocked my legs out from under me. He sliced me in the thigh about 2 1/2 inches and he stuck me in the thigh twice and it went in about an inch or so deep. And right after I left my house mom was tellin me that I better quit gettin hurt or I can't go anymore rolleyes

Mostly team ropings. Had the ctyra finals this weekend and I was setting second by two points. Today I just had to tangle him up didn't matter Wat time I got. And I go to high school rodeos region 3. Post by: DoGgONit on April 30, 2012, 08:00:39 am not to be disrespectful, you mention that this isnt the first time you have hurt by a hog . may i suggest you find a hogdogger with more experience and roll with them for a while . pick up some tips and tricks from those that have already learned the hard way! oh and maybe another bull dog...g/l to ya !

Don't mind it everyone has their own opinion. I still hav alot to learn but I hav been huntin for 4 years and it was a freak deal. And my last cut was a javelina. Post by: T.Burdine on April 30, 2012, 04:06:44 pm Your lucky i was hunting with a fella 1 time we busted up a pack had hogs caught all over with that we split up to get to caught dogs well long story short he was tieing a sow a big boar came up from behind and got him on the inside of his leg caught a vain by the time i got him to the hospital his leg was turning blue and swelling from inturnal bleeding spent 3 days in the hospital
