Title: putting weight on Post by: seokiehogcatcher on May 14, 2012, 11:32:43 am I've got a mamma dog I just weaned pups off of n they pulled her down pretty poor, so what would be tge best way to get her back into shape for hunting again? She's seriously poor right now n I give her more food then she can eat in a day.

Once it was soupy, I added two eggs and red cell for dogs. It did not take very long at all. I know that the satin balls and crisco work well also, but I went with eggs and red cell on this one because I had it all right in the fridge. A lot of folks feed the shell and all for the calcium, but years ago I had a dog get bloody stools because the little shards of egg shell were scratching his digestive tract. Good luck!

She's been nursin two weeks has a lot of milk fat as a toad n so are pups. Will see if this keeps her from gettin sucked down.

Title: Re: putting weight on Post by: magnuml on May 17, 2012, 10:44:04 am I feed Canned Jack mackeral and Raw Chicken thighs. It will work with worming. Always let mom eat twice a day and worm them right after a litter and they will not get down.. Eggs are good also.
