Depends on age maturity line of dogs if that etc.  If it is a bulldog it needs a bigger hog to make it latch on and it probally will if it is a bay dog and young put it on a bigger hog and make it respect a hog.  heck my cd now would play with pigs when he was younger.

Depends on age and maturity like purebred said. But as far as bulldogs go with me there are to many out there that want to slam one right off the bat so don't waste time with one that won't

great hog dogs are born not made

Good hogdogs are born not made.

Great hogdogs are worked with daily and have owners that dedicate their time to help their dogs excel.........ive seen many "good" dogs that could have been "great" dogs given the proper handler and training.

x2 dogs take alot of work , some are special , same as a work force , [ concrete ] some are labors , some are up and comers and some just there , there is alot of culling going on , but it takes a little time to tell there capabilitys , there heart ect. and I place them accordingly the same as a pack of dogs , it takes work to  make a good crew [years ] lots of teaching ,time and understanding what each man needs to progress them to make the team better  its no diffrent in the dog world , theres dogs that will never learn , theres lazys , trouble makers and complete idiots , you need experiance to sift threw the pile and put a good team together , its not free , it takes time , no one is going to give you there best man or dog , and if your culling to get superman you might be culling your whole life , work with what you got , teach , use your head and good dogs will come , there is no magic cull date , we have a catch dog that ran into a bay and didnt catch , he just sniffed a$$ , it would make us very upset , after alot of hunts he is on now , I dont think most people would have gave him such a grace period , but I knew where he came from and had high hopes , theres what I call experiance , and it worked , know your dogs or people and cull accordingly

some people seem to be proud of culling could be the handler a failure not the dog.If you study sports some of the greats in all sports were almost culled not always dog/athlete fault.Alot of people demand more from dogs/people than they do from thierselfs.Just an observation.Theres alot of culls out there most walk upright and breed

Don't cull until 1 1/2 old some dogs won't work good until they mature
