a man named Robert Kemmer used to hunt mtn curs in the 1960's and 70's...He hunted hog and bear as well as squirrel and coon...sometime in the late 1980's he and Dave glazebook started the KSBA which is Kemmer Stock Breeders Association and broke away from the OMCBA which is the Original Mountain Cur Breeders Association.

They had a few good dogs that were used more than others for breeding one was Gold Nugget and he was known for having a cold nose as were many from back then...Yellow Bob was his brother and there was a Goldie and a Blondie that were known for producing as well...The bottom line is that there  are some really good dogs in this line of mtn cur but just like any other breed there can be some culls in any litter and some are bred to be smaller, closer ranging squirrel dogs...some are open on track and they tend to be gritty dogs as well..

Thanks for your voice as i said don't know much about kemmer but with the plot and black mouth currs the kemmer should add some hunt in him. looking forward to training him. if he opens that's alright with me. thanks for your input
