Title: dogs howling and barking
Post by: dodgegirl on June 03, 2012, 11:25:07 pm
Well I got rid of one of my dogs about 2 weeks ago and ever since my dogs have been howling and barking at all hours of the night. It's driving me crazy. Any ideas on why they're doing this? I have dogs come and go all the time and its never happened before.

Feed them at night time and that should get them to relax and rest.

I let them out around 5 to run around and do what ever and feed them around 7ish. Should I feed them later than that?. None of my females are in heat.

several reasons why they could be howling that I can think of...  1. mosquito's could be eating them up after dark... 2. siren or high pitched noise that the dogs can hear and it is hurting their ears...

the dogs could be crying and howling if the is a mosquitos are bad...that is if you live in an area that has mosquitos...

I used to have to get up 2 or 3 times a night to fog for mosquitos during the mosquito season and fog the dog kennels and the surrounding area.....then cutter yard guard was invented...and it works great...
