Title: Getting young dogs comfortable with riding on the box.
Post by: redline on June 30, 2012, 03:51:09 pm
I clipped my dogs on top and they just laid down and froze. Drove around a bit and they didn't seem to be coming around.

Do I just keep them up there until they get over it?

I have found Just time up on there is the best way to get them comfortable, when teaching pups to ride on the box I clip them in and try to take the smooth roads or pasture with the least bumps to get them used to it.

When you want to teach a young dog something if possible i always use a older dog to set example. With older dog there it will set pup at ease.
