Title: What kind of best does my strike dog need? Post by: Crossstock on July 07, 2012, 07:32:55 pm He is catching every hog he see's today he caught a 250 lb sow... I have him in a wild boar USA bay vest and a 4 inch cut collar... I'm just scared that that best might not be stout enough... Which vest do I need???

If he is catching I would vest like a catch dog. But you better watch the heat. I also wet the vests. Look at how your dog catches and get what your dog needs. If you dog catches head on and grabs the ear then an Aussie plate will let you dog get cut. If your dog outs it's body up against the hog like it should and grabs the ear the the Aussie plate should work. I leave it as a simple, it is your dog so it is your call. Everything has risks.
