had a guy ask me if he could use the ortho tree & shrub for fleas on a bitch that has puppies. i have never done this. does any one know if it will hurt the pups..

mark i don't know if it would hurt or not . but i would tell him to just get some permethrin 10 % and dip her and just wipe the pups down with a damp rag soaked in the dip . i know it's safe .

yes on prego's and read the instructions on the bottle . i beleive it's about an ounce of perm. per gallon for dog dip

If the dog has the puppies nursing and it is on her nipples they will get it and probly die. had a friend have it happen and lost 7 out of 9 puppies. I would not chance it. JMO.

I would rather go for a quick bath with a blue dawn detergent, use a rag to get them dry and it is very safe and effective. Have done it lots of times.
