Yea it sucks down here, crops are shot and for a class project collecting plants had to drive from Kingsville to bee and Goliad County to find plants that still blooming........ WTH????

The South Texas brush country can sure humble a hunter and his dogs that's for sure! Russ, those quail rigs were perfect for hunting hogs in that country! Hope you guys get some rain soon. We would O.D. on the appetizers (fried/grilled quail, dove, fried pickles, cheese dip from heaven, seasoned/boiled quail eggs, sweet potatoes, steak potatoes, deer sausage, fresh corn chips, just to name a few) thinking that it was the meal and then they would say "Y'all Ready To Eat?". :o.
No one ever turned them down though! ha ha. Like Thanksgiving Day every meal! Who serves the best home made enchiladas at 1 am in the morning?! The Barrier's do!!!
