"Banjo" cat. out of phillp taylors dogs. I sold this pup to johhny Walker last year and he uses him on his corriente cattle.

Currently I use border collies and have had a few cross bred dogs in the past. The two black and tan pups are just some crossed up cowdogs also. They are out of a hanging tree bitch and Dad was 1/2 border collie 3/8 Kelpie and 1/8 bulldog.

The male was a great dog, would work in the roping pen for his grand children and pen cows. Guy told me he swore the dog would count steers when he got to the pen with them to make sure they were all there lol. He won a couple trials with him years back. Dog died of old age The female didnt have much bite but could flat out fly. He usually pair her up with something that would bite. She would fly to the front of cattle and get them stoped. I was at his place when he sold them to some guy from texas. As for as for hunting cattle not sure how they were.

He is a friend and neighbor named Nolan, and he does some dealings with Mr Hetzel, and happens to own a nice cur collie female. I'll have to ask him who the cur x BC came from.
I've mentioned in the past, that this planned litter might be a colossal mistake... I'll keep a couple of the pups, and give a few away to people that want to try them, with the understanding that if the pups don't turn out, they are culled, or given back to me. I don't have any big country, and I don't need a high powered dog. Just want something with a little bit of hunt, and a good handle, with plenty of bite when needed. I think a lot of the success of the litter is gonna depend on what type of dog your wanting. Wish I had room I would be interested in a few. I would like one Long legged that could cover some ground, handle, some bark with plenty bite to back it up.
Title: Re: I want to see some cow dogs Post by: Circle C on July 23, 2012, 12:30:37 pm That's him. He's a calf roper, does more team roping now. Runs a decent herd of corriente cows too. Mr Hetzel used one of Nolan's dogs as a stud a couple years ago, and I ended up with the stud fee pup, Chip.

The most I have found is on this site. I'm mostly interested in cur dogs on cattle, but any resources would be good. If you guys know of any good sites or forums, post a link for me.
