If you have access to ivermectin, put 0.1 cc in each ear then repeat in 2 weeks.

WD 40 works also. A lot of Old Timers used to use Ever Clear.

good advice long eared dogs are more prone to yeast problems than mites . i'd suggest a vinagar and water solution [ duesh ] mixture or over the counter  ladie product  lol  plus the fact your dogs ear will have that fresh summers eve smell to it  lol . then in a few days get you some ear mite medicine [ they sell it every where and it is inexpensive ] and treat for mites . i treat regularly for no reason at all .

Happy jack works great.  BigO had a home mix solution in another thread but I'm having trouble finding it.

yes any kind of oil just good ol baby oil will suffice and is more gental on the ear . we used to use a sulfer dust in the ear for canker and mites  nfz powder is good .
