EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

Anybody seen this before I take it to the vet?  It showed up as a patch a few days ago, I figured the chain he's on rubbed him but didn't see how.  I went and worked off for three days and and came home and this is what it is now.  Just trying to find what it is and a fix for it.  I don't think it's him rubbing himself.

Looks like a bite that he rubbed raw

It's more than likely a spider bite looks identical to what my dog had....
Warm rag and some idione healed my dog up.. leave it open for sure
After it crust over u can take some aloe Vera cream for livestock and rub it on there...
But before it causes a debate some people have different opinions and ways off fixing things
But this helped me

x2 on the spider bite...

Rub Nu Stock on it everyday... oughta clear it up.

I'll definitely try it Mike, what is that stuff for, I don't think I've ever bought the stuff.

It is a hotspot. I do not think anyone really knows what starts them.

Treat with antibiotics like Cephalexin and a steroid.

Ben, it's good for everything... hot spot, ringworm, mange, mites, cuts, deep wounds,etc...

All it has in it is sulfur, pine oil and mineral oil.

Looks like a sunburn to me. Had a dog for this so I took it to the vet and vet said sunburn. I said b/s .
But the vet went to school for something so Dr. orders said apply silver sulfate. I did and it cleared up in about two
weeks. Later my son told me she got tangled up out in the sun and he forgot
about her till he went to feed her at dark. Also had to put one of those big goofy looking collars
on her so she wouldn't chew at it.

I agree. hotspot. Seen and treated hundreds over the years for clients. SHave it and the area surrounding it. Vetricyn Hot Spot Spray works AMAZING.

A buddys dog did that. Looks identical to that. He was to lazy to take it to the vet and never gave it anything and it went away over time. To me looks like he had allergic reaction to something. Thats what i thought with my buddys dog anyway

I agree with heatspots. I had a dog that got those nasty lookin things. doctor it up and itll be gone in a week or two

X2 I use that stuff all the time it makes hair grow with in a few days heals wounds and clears up scar tissue

X2 on the Vetricyn.  I have a dog that gets hot spots periodically and I usually spray the spot twice a day for 2-3 days with Vetricyn and it clears right up.

x2 i had a plott hound that had the same thing happen to him and was told it was a hot spot, right above the tail on his back like the first pic.

Im just curious is that a,Parker dog.

my dog had that same stuff about a week ago thought about posting it but doctored it and it cleared up looks identical
