EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

 my name is Ken, and I am from NC. I just got my first hog dog ( american bulldog) about a year ago. I haven't had a chance to hunt her myself yet, but she has seen hogs and she has caught. I'm here to learn all I can about hog hunting before I dive into the woods. Hope to learn about some different dogs as well. Please bear with me, I'm bound to ask some stupid questions LOL!

Well sir I was too like u. My first dog was a catch dog.. But kinda hard for me to catch the.pigs without the rite equipment (dogs) to find them lol..

 I live in Kannapolis. about 15-25 minutes north of charlotte( time varies by traffic, of course).

oh, she's just my first  hogdog and first AB. I've had pits for a little over a decade. I'm switching to AB's.

Glad to hear that. some of the bulldog boards get a little hairy. A lot of those people don't even work their dogs.

She's a looker that's for sure! She defently looks stout!

 One of the coolest dogs I've ever owned besides my 11 year old pit. Super sweet, will chase anything on four legs, but never barks(unless it is a cat LOL!)

They have been spotting them about 15-25 mins from my house. A guy killed over 2 dozen in Rockwell NC, and they were spotted in a park in the middle of Charlotte 2-3 Years ago.

   How's the Hunting in NZ?  are they still banning pit bulls out there?

I was there not long ago hell I still don't know everything but I know alot about a little thanks to these guys and ladies on here! Monty Bennet has taught me a lot as well. Welcome aboard and like they said don't be scared to ask questions! Great people and very knowledgeable of this sport that we all love!

 Don't believe the hype, bro. Pits can be great dogs in the right hands. Sad thing is, they hardly ever end up in the right hands. I've had them for over a decade. Best dogs I've ever owned hands down, just very little protective drive.
that's why i'm siching to AB's.

 BTW what do you guys use? bull arabs? Bullmastiff crosses? Bull terriers? boxers?

yes i totaly agree the problem here is that 99.9% are owned by the worst section of our society
