Big momma she is 6 now and still great! She has caught several hundred hogs! Of her first 15 hogs 12 of them were 200lb+ she took a beating, then figured out to get beside them, and only been cut twice after those first few wrecks! I love to sit outside a bay a couple hundred yards and if they start breaking cut her loose and watch her run them down.... I have watched her several times run to a hog, ham them to stop them and as soon as they stop she will let go and catch ear! Other than hamming a runner she is straight ear! Most of the time we only turn loose one catch dog, she gets it done by herself....I have been very fortunate to have a buddy that raises great pits, that have handle, agility, & brains! (http://i1051.photobucket.com/albums/s440/Jameson_P/catchdog.jpg) Hows this! I dont own him but have hunted with him alot. He is 9 years old and has caught more pigs than most of the hunters on this site. unbelievably he still has all his canines. He hits hard and catches the right ear every time and throws his front legs back. Honestly, i don't think he's ever even had a bad cut. Title: Re: Full careers!! ( catch dogs) Post by: Lance on September 08, 2012, 10:58:19 pm This is Bull, he is 8 yrs. old. I've had him since he was 1 yr. old. I got him from a friend after he caught one of their show pigs. He is by far the best catch dog I've ever owned and the best natured bull dog I've ever seen. There is not an agressive bone in his body unless you make one of my kids scream . I fully retired him last year. He got to hot one to many times and is now kind of weak in his backend. He is now a full time babysitter. The picture is from 5 yrs. ago.

Caught few in a pen and got the chance to do the real deal on about a 150lb or so one. Caught it on the ear like he has done it his whole life
Title: Re: Full careers!! ( catch dogs) Post by: Doggie on September 09, 2012, 09:25:25 pm This is Captain my catch dog for many years. He was full blooded AB and was as good of a catch dog as I have seen. He could be told to get out and sit while I hobbled a hog and handled great. I retired him at 9 and that was a hard thing for him to handle. I had to take him every now and then or he would not eat. He lived his life as a true family friend. So he was allowed to continue living that dream as a house dog. He would tree squirrels, blood track and dig up youpon (he was also a gaurd dog and protected things while i was at work) We used him to cross over my wife's Dogo Lucy which started the line of catch dogs we use today. Lucy also lived to retirement and now their blood lives on through several generations of pups that are now on our yard. Here is Captain Morgan
