Title: Never have Post by: HDMdogs on September 09, 2012, 08:04:31 pm Understood why people correct manners.. I've seen a lot and been around a little while but politeness, kindness, and yes sir,no sir and yes mam, no mam, don't live around too much anymore. I understand it makes people feel older than what they feel like but I was raised a country boy manners runs deep within naturally.. You open the door for a lady and hold the door for a man. You eat with your hat off at the table etc. etc. just wondering if anyone else has this problem! No intentions were meant just been on my mind for a while..

Title: Re: Never have Post by: Easttex91 on September 09, 2012, 08:23:18 pm I hate when people say "dont call me sir (or mam) I'm not old" cause my immediate response is always yes sir or yes mam lol. I was raised with good manners so it's kind of a habit but I also do it just out of respect for people.
I will say it has helped me out in a lot of ways. I figure it is a polite way to insult their lack of manners. ;DI will say it has helped me out in a lot of ways. Title: Re: Never have Post by: H.Wilson on September 09, 2012, 09:20:41 pm I had a lady here recently refuse to let me hold the door for her it's like around here the kids have older people trained she reached to open the door for me I politely told her I would go to another store cause my grand parents would beat me for walking in that door before her
Title: Re: Never have Post by: RL on September 10, 2012, 07:30:55 am I have no problem with those manners. I practice most of them. Well, I have never understood the hat thing, so I wear mine if I have one on, when I eat.
But, I am not offended when others don't. |
