Title: saturday nights big hunt Post by: bob on June 01, 2009, 01:48:57 pm hi, my name is bob scoggins , I am from chouteau okla. Im a big time hunter , but only been chasing hogs for three years & got hooked right off the git go. I bought a good dog off craig loftin & also have some pups, anyway we were in the woods at 10 pm ,I turned the dogs loose & right off the bat they tour up a skunk & got sprayed , my best dog had got it right in the face, so we went to the closest water hole to try to clean her nose out if that was possible and let her have a drink because she also was foaming at the mouth. we hunted about & hour & hit another skunk & they got sprayed again ,we moved on & I noticed on the gps the dogs were about 500 yds out , then shortly I herd them baying, we headed to them & came up a pond bank & my two pups were in the water baying a old duck decoy & my good dog was on the other side of the pond about a 100yrds out, I was getting frustrated so we loaded up & went to another ranch a few miles down the road & turned out, and Ill be darn if we didnt get another skunk & a possum to boot, I loaded up smelling like skunk & a bad attitude & went home, cant win them all

i have 2 daughters and we love to go skunk hunting, i take my 20 ga and spotlight and we make a big round thru the hay meadows. i have a 10 yr old daughter that can spot a skunk a mile away,,, i could bring her down to do some guiding for you. ;D ;D the place bob is talking about is some big ranches that back up together, he has about 30,000 acres to hunt on and those hogs have not seen many dogs,, shure has been good. i think we have taken about 40 hogs since jan. Title: Re: saturday nights big hunt Post by: cward on June 01, 2009, 09:37:01 pm We could let the kids skunk hunt while we hog hunt.No If I'm not there my boy would try to shoot a deer.Thats all that boy does is hunt and fish!
