Im not familiar with this so i figured i ask for advise from the people who have experience with it. I know the coon hunters have been doing it for years but havent heard or seen topics about it on here about doing it with curs. What are the steps involved as far as having the semen shipped and storage and everything else that needs to be done. Thanks for your input.

I'm not sure with dogs but my dad does cows.  He has his shipped to a breeding service provider and goes and gets it from there. From there they put it in his personal seman tank.  Then he hires a person that knows what's happens after that. 

If you look up BigO he could tell you about it.  He's the only person I know that I know has done it.

Look up Camelot Farms. I think they are in College Station  and their website has a lot of info. Sells the stuff to ship it and other stuff.

I think there is a vet in Hopkins county that does it

it has to be shipped in a shipping tank, usually you have to put down a deposit that you get back when you ship the tank back. then of course youll need a tank to transfer teh straws into from the shipping tank.

If you are using fresh chilled semen you don't need a special tank. It is collected and some stuff to keep it fresh is added and you ship it in a small cooler with coldpac. Again I would say go to the Camelot Farms site, it will answer a lot of questions.
