 A couple weeks ago sunday I loaded up the family and took a very long ride to Clue Andersons to breed my Josie(frozen semen Ricky gyp) to Clues Buck(cowboy x sara). Buck was one of the pups that Clue won the young dog division at this years cow dog trials.  1st pic is Josie, 2nd pic is Buck squared up on a cow

 On the way home I picked up my Ginger(Clues cowboy x Bigos sara) that I bred to Hogdog05's  JoJo(Bigo's Bear x Cwards Ellie). This is a first cousin cross, I sure hope both gyps took and I have high expectations for both of the litters. Sure hope they have enough to fill all the orders  ;D  1st pic is Ginger, 2nd pic isJoJo

Very nice traveling gear under your top two dogs. Definitely have the look of some get gone kinda Yellers.

I sure hope they drop a mess of them Ben.  I can't wait to see how they turn out but I'm really curious about that JoJo X Ginger breeding.

Ben, if some of these crosses don't work, you can throw pedigree,intense linebreeding and ruthless selection out the window. Every line of their pedigree has a dog or dogs that people involved in the breeding of them, sit around and tell stories about. If we could teach them to read, we would have it made, just tack up a pedigree and tell them to see for themselves what they are to turn out like.
     We might have to do them like I did some of the race horses I've trained. Take a copy of their papers and an Alpo can and tack them up over the feed tube and tell them they have a choice.

Order ya some K9 Puppy Gold and spoil those gyps while they're carrying and then then pups when they get here. Should be some dandy's in those litters.

Yep I sure am waiting to see how these dogs turn out.  Time will only tell. 

Ginger has 10 pups on the ground as of 5am this morning. Josey is due in 4 more days, I wonder what the heck i was thinking breeding 2 gyp's so damn close together lol.

I'm pretty stoked.  I have been wanting a pup out of the cowboy x sara.  These dogs are pretty special to me.  I'm sure Ben will agree with me so i must give credit where it is due.  So thanks Bob and David for letting us youngn's have an oppotunity like we have gotten.

i know she layed on one. The others she seperated in one particular corner of the whelping box. Id move em back to her and she would put em back in the corner.

I had a gyp do the same thing. I would move the pups back and she would move them away again. After 3 or 4 times she bit their heads off. I asked a couple old dog men about it and they both said that a gyp can tell when there is something wrong with a pup and they separate them to let them die. Asked an old veterinarian about it and he said the same thing. Makes sense but if that was the case then Catahoulas would have been extinct years ago. Haha!

If sharting yourself was illegal........I would be in custody after that comment!  Bahhhhaaa

If you'll check craigslist Dallas fort worth or whatever's closest, sometimes you can find a bitch and a mess of pups or one who's still bagged up. Play your cards close to the chest and get hold of some mutt bitch to raise them. I know it's been done a time or two and mutts always seem to be the best mommas.

Yella, yella, yella fever.

So far Josey's pups are doing well with all this cold weather. Gingers pups are growing like weeds and starting to move around. Hope this cold snap isnt for very long.
