He won't try to milk you for money when you have a sick animal and will ask you "how much is this dog worth to you?" before he tells you to come in. I now use Dr. Stern in Needville, TX...he is about past retirement age...nice man and Hog dog friendly...prices are fair... His son Kurt at Weimar vet clinic just down the road is good as gold. Prices are more than fair. He answers the phone and I’ve spent thousands with him over the years. He got his start down around pearsall and there’s still guys that will drive 3 hours with cut up dogs to bring him them because they know, if they make it to Kurt alive, Kurt will save them. I’ll swear by the man long as I mess with animals.

But I also used to drive to weimer to buy dog food. Back then I could buy 50 lbs of 26-18 for 8.00. now I pay 27.00.

I haven’t seen him outside of the occasional beer drinking function in over a year. Switched styles of dogs and we don’t get anything cut anymore. If I just need meds from a vet here is the place to go from A-Z.
If it's something we can handle I usually go to buna first, if they can't handle it then nederland.
