The two that I use in lipan and mineral wells have shut down for two weeks. Im not sure why. Hopefully the demand for them isnt dropping.

been selling for a long time except the last two years  but they all used to shut down for a while this time of year . most of the plants hire employees of questionable imigration status and they go home this time of year lol . the dock situation has been remedy'd for at least the next 30 days acording to the news this morning  .

I have a buying station here in Oklahoma for one of the slaughter houses and have been shutdown for 30 days now.  One of the 3 plants are closing their doors for good, and the other 2 have an abundance of hogs, and shipping is at a hault as already said.  The market is not looking good for the future.  They are telling me the prices are going to be cut drastically when they re-open.  Whenever that may be> :-\

Around here it's closed till jan 1 for counting and paper work but nothing about price dropping or to many pigs ????? Not real sure about that our buyer says same price just has to do a yearly headcount

I dont know who you sell to, but I talk to the guys at the plants on weekly basis and they are stacked with hogs!! That is the reason SWG stations have also been shutdown for over 2 weeks now.
Yes every year they do shut down for a few days to get head count, but this is more than that.
